It's not that blogger is not good, but our stupid college internet cannot access blogger, at least in a normal way. I'm writing this through a web PHP proxy and probably got my password leaked around the proxy already.

My New Pet

Actually they are not new, just that my tank is near to failure hence I don't feel like blogging about it. However, something delightful happened today which gives me some hope that the tank will survive.

It's called Seamonkeys. A type of aquatic instant pet you can get in Toys R 'Us or Jusco Toys Department (I think Jusco has withdrawn them from their shelves). Anyway, it's a pet, which comes in 3 packets of powder + 1 plastic tank.

The 3 packets of powder are: Water purifier - to prepare the water for the pet, Eggs - which will hatch when it's in a water suitable for hatching and Food - which needs to be fed only once a week.

I don't know it's my fault or India's fault (I mean the weather/water, etc. LOL), only 3 are able to grow into adults, and a few days ago, one of them died as well (I knew it will die anyway, because it looked like it's going to die, LOL), I was thinking that there's no more hope for the tank, that's until today I see this...



They're mating!!! Congratulations to the Eve and Adam of this tank...

Some says that the gene pool will be so limited (because there's only a pair of them mating) that they'll be killed all at once if something happens... Oh well, what else can I do? Maybe I should start asking the PIDC juniors to rear Seamonkeys so that we can exchange gene pools, LOL.

It's the end of 2nd year

Kept on breaking promises to keep this blog alive... Reality beats me... Second year is just too... rough...

Anyway even though it's rough, IT'S OVER!!!! But still it's not a happy ending, there're so many other feelings mixed together at this time, which I think the resulting mood is kinda depressed...

Anyhow I wonder why I didn't blog when my mood is much more simpler, but I choose to blog at this kind of f***ed up mood, hmm... weirdo...

Shall I split and analyse my feelings now?

• Happy because of finishing the ever-torturing 2nd year BDS. Not to mention escaping the dreadful claws of the b*i*t*c*h and perhaps T-Rex also

• Happy also because I'm going back to my beloved home and eat my beloved food

• Weird feeling - Anyhow this exam doesn't happen in the way that I expect (not in a concrete sense, I meant it more abstractly), I don't know how to explain, but I just feel that this time the exam is really different from the first year

• Anxious - Some pretty dangerous mission I have to carry with me... Which might result in total destruction of my holiday mood, some old time friendship as well as everyone's money, or maybe the total opposite... Determined in the airport of Chennai, India... No, I'm not smuggling drugs, maybe I'll tell when everything is over... Just pray for me that I'll pass through the Chennai airport without much hinder... *Fingers and all parts of my body crossed...
  

• Feeling of future-boredom - because I chose to travel with AirIndia Express with Akmal only, while others stick to MAS... Argh... Hopefully the time I will be spending with him will be alright...

• Some kind of WTF-the-holiday-is-so-short-and-I-am-already-seeing-the-day-I-leave-Malaysia-already feeling. LOL.

• No feeling - for the examination results. Mostly due to the weird feeling I have for this time's exam. Can pass enough already... Really...

• Feeling old, sad, lonely - the 2nd batch (the most friendly batch as they are in the same academic year as us) are finally... leaving this place for good... Old, as in we are now really the oldest batch in Salem... and will be for another 3 more years (Awhh...)... Sad, as they are really the closest batch we have over here... Lonely, as there will be no more people other than us in the battleship, unlike for the pass 2 years...

• Oh no... I'm getting emo-ed... Gawd, I'll surely miss you guys... You guys brought a lot of things into my life... One of the most important thing will be DOTA... Sigh, since the departure of the 1st batch, the DOTA "wind" is already weaker over here... And now without Popo? I think it'll crumble to nothingness soon... Sigh...

• Time flies...

• And I hope it will fly faster... I really look forward in seeing you guys again... Perhaps sometime, someday, somewhere... Just don't forget my fatass look...

My work in second year

Many might have heard before that dental students have to do carvings of teeth... Well, here it is...



I know that the posteriors might look very weird, but what do you expect, I finished all the posteriors in 2 days... Due to my laziness which caused the piling of the work till the due date...

And the anteriors don't look nice either, due to a stupid act trying to save the red discolouration of the teeth...

And the red discolouration... Kept it in a wrong place, got contaminated after a long time... LOL

For the sake of completeness, this is the wax block we used to carve the teeth out...



Don't think will do any more post before finals... Wish me luck...

Confess

Don't expect me to tell what is it, but I've just did something I know it's wrong, accidentally (although I had the tendency to do it before I actually do it by accident, I know I'm bad)... But still, I did it accidentally...

And the worst thing is, I had to continue with another wrong thing to make the thing better (at least it seems better to me)... Argh... I don't know what kind of dangerous chain reactions will be produced by my act... But I promise, I will not do it again... Ever... And also prevent myself from accidentally doing it altogether...

OK.. Enough emo-ed...

It's been so long... I broke my promise... That's IInd year my dear friends... Things are shittier than Ist year... Hahaha... I hope IIIrd year will not be more shittier...

Finals are around the corner... But I have not started revising yet... Shit... Damn dental college people - yes, especially VIDYA...

I've been back to Msia last May, but was so 'lucky' to be bitten by a pathogenic Aedes mosquitoe... And was in the hospital for nearly a week... Didn't meet quite a number of friends, I didn't have the time for Mr. Huan either.. Felt so guilty... And the problem is, it seems that we are not going to have more holidays already... So maybe I won't be seeing you guys for a long time...

Planned to go for Taj Mahal if not going back to Msia... Was thinking of going England to meet some of my friends over there too... Hahaha...

So many things to say... But all stuck together at this time... Hahaha... Wish me luck for my finals... Maybe I can tell more stories after finals...

Our college is in college month again, yup, principal said that he chose to change it to april so that the tents can be rented at a cheaper rate in summer, due to no rain... But it's complete bullshit because they collect even more money from us compared to last time's college day...

For the first time,o ur college invited PIDC as one of the batches in our college month events...

And lastly, spikes are despiked, but still some new spikes appear... duhh... (Don't bother about this one)

It's a Sunday...

It's a Sunday, the only day for us take a break... Yes, we have classes from Mon to Sat... How different is it from life in Malaysia... Haih...

Usually I'll wake up late (earliest 12pm) and waste my time on my comp before taking my brunch (breakfast + lunch)... Which is usually some bread with tuna and a cup of Milo or Ipoh White Coffee (by Super - 我叫你试！！！LOL)... Then I'll waste my time on comp again or maybe sleep back, LOL... And by the time it is night, I'll have to prepare for Monday's class... How boring... How unenjoyable... How insufficient is our resting day...

Today is no different day, woke up late because of DOTA till 4am yesterday, LOL... And realised how IMBA Broodmother is, in the latest version...

Still have no idea what's so sentimental to talk about... Haha... OK then, let me talk about one of the favourite hero in DOTA - Silencer...

Many people never realise the full potential of a Silencer - a deadly DPS (Damage per second) machine, although not comparable to Razor, but still if he's teamed up with suitable team mates, he is as deadly as Razor...

His high DPS comes from his 2nd skill - Glaives of Wisdom, which is an arrow-skill (auto-castable), which many people have failed to know the "painfulness" of this skill... It's the bread and butter skill of Silencer, for him to get last hit easily and for him to harass with cheap mana cost... The additional damage might seem puny and laughable at first, but once he reaches lvl 7, basically no one will be able to deny creep from him, even more than that if the Silencer is using the skill fiercely to harass, he'll be able to chase the enemy away...

Even if you are only having 2 circlets + 2 ironwood branches, by level 7 you'll be having 66-88 physical damage +29 pure/unreduced damage per Glaives casted, i.e. around 100 damage per cast, which should be very useful in last hitting the creeps...

But anyhow there's one very important point for one to be a good Silencer - use manual cast for last hitting creeps and harassing, so that you don't waste your mana... And manual casting the skill on hero means no creep will target you, so if the hero is hesitating to back off you can just give them a few glaives to make them back off immediately, if they try to attack you back, they'll draw the creeps attention and the condition get worse for them... And then there's this animation cancelling regarding any arrow skill, it's for you to land multiple blows of manual casting Glaives by casting and then quickly issue a command to move forward...

And furthermore on our item build, if you feel like playing more unsafely by not buying bracers, upgrade your 2 circlets into nulls and taadaa, your damage rises up to 74-96 physical damage +34 pure damage which means more than 100 damage per cast, which is perfect for last hitting creeps and harassing...

Even if you feel like playing safely by buying bracers, you still get 68-90 physical damage +30 pure damage, which is still ok... And mind you, the number will grow nicely when you level up, and the numbers I mentioned is at level 7 only...

In short, the power of Silencer lies in farming and lane control (by active harassing)... Anyway there's this downside of Silencer - no escape mechanism... When the enemies are in place to gank you, there's basically no escape for Silencer, which therefore, a Silencer should be well aware of ganks, missing heroes, etc...

Further item builds include Power Threads and Midas (if one can farm it within 20 minutes of game), then Guinsoo (before 6.50) or Orchid... Guinsoo was a nice item on him as hex is a very powerful disable, but as the change in new version doesn't favor him so much, Orchid should be considered more if your team has certain disables already... After the first damage item, one should consider buying Hyperstone --> Cuirass or Skadi for its nice stats boost (the frost attack doesn't stack)...

Of course, once you started getting 2 Oblivion staffs, you can turn on Autocast of the Glaives... And just for your information, your additional damage from Glaives will be around +60 during mid game, which is pretty obscene, and can go near +100 once everyone's level is maxed (which is rare)... And that damage is UNREDUCED, even better than a sacred relic... Anyhow, you'll have to farm properly and prevent unnecessary deaths...

One might consider Mekansm as an early game item as its heal is pretty useful when ganked, and the +stats and +armor is not bad as well, needless to mention the regen provided...

About the skill build, your primary aim is to max 2nd skill, 3rd skill is optional (or a must if you are laning against Sand king, or other heroes who can combo their spells), ulti is necessary for support or even an escape mechanism... Otherwise just up Stats all the way (which is crucial if you are getting Nulls and not Bracers)... And I have to stress this: First skill is totally useless and must be ignored, only sissy use 1st skill to harass...

That's all I can say, if Silencer is allowed to grow undisturbed in a game, he'll be a deadly DPS machine, anyhow the DPS is lost whenever someone use BKB or Repel, keep that in mind...
